Back in the mid 90’s, authors Dafydd ab Hugh and Brad Linaweaver partnered to write several novels that help enrich lore of Doom. John Romero is now selling two of the novels from his personal collection on eBay,
John Romero is selling his copy of Doom: Knee Deep in the Dead and Hell on Earth on eBay with the starting bid being $10. As of 10/02 there have been 27 bids with the highest being $75. The announcement was made via Twitter with the following:

This has not been the first time Romero has put a Doom memorabilia up for auction via eBay. Back in June, his personal copy of Masters of Doom sold for over $100 while his floppy disk copy of Doom II sold for over $3,000.
John Romero is a pioneer in the gaming world having co-founded id Software in the 90’s alongside John Carmack and Tom Hall. His gaming credits include work on Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Quake just to name a few while also coining the multiplayer term “deathmatch”.
In 2015; he established Romero Games Ltd., an independent game studio located in Galway, Ireland. Their first title, Gunman Taco Truck was released in January 2017 and it was highly praised by critics along with gamers.
