An Insight for Bay Area Gamers
Collectors of gaming memorabilia will be happy to learn that John Romero is selling a classic Doom T-shirt.
Another piece of gaming history is up auction once again as John Romero is selling classic a Doom T-shirt from 1993.
John Romero is selling a XL Doom T-shirt that was made available back in 1993 and features a close up of the Doom Guy. The shirt was listed on eBay on October 13 with a starting bid of $10 and in seven hours 35 users had made an offer with the highest being $100.
The announcement was made via Twitter with the following:

This announcement comes following the successful sale of his personal copies of Doom: Knee Deep in the Dead and Hell on Earth for $203.50. In the last few months he has been putting a lot of Doom memorabilia up for sale including his personal copy of Masters of Doom and his floppy disk copy of Doom II.
John Romero is a pioneer in the gaming world having co-founded id Software in the 90’s alongside John Carmack and Tom Hall. His gaming credits include work on Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Quake just to name a few while also coining the multiplayer term “deathmatch”.
In 2015; he established Romero Games Ltd., an independent game studio located in Galway, Ireland. Their first title, Gunman Taco Truck was released in January 2017 and it was highly praised by critics along with gamers.
Isn’t it a bit sad that John Romero is selling all his personal Doom stuff? Does he do that because he is in serious financial trouble, or because he just wants to “put that behind”?
Is there a reason you keep using pics from the new Doom and not the old Doom? YOu know the games that Romero actually worked on!
