Convention season is here but everyone has to do their part while many are also concerned about their health and safety. To ensure everyone’s safety, SacAnime has announced their COVID-19 guidelines for the Summer 2021 event.

Anyone who plans to attend SacAnime Summer 2021 is either required to show proof of having received the vaccine. To how your proof, take a photo of your vaccine card and show it at the registration. If you can’t get the vaccine then you need to show proof that you tested negative for the virus 72 hours before the event.

Failure to show either proof of being vaccinated or tested negative will result in you being denied entrance to the convention.

SacAnime Summer 2021 will once again feature many of the live events along with special panels. It has also been confirmed that 21 cast members of My Hero Academia will be present during the entire weekend (with a few exceptions).

This is just one of several conventions in the that will host a live event, but that could change should there be a spike in cases. As of July 5th, 60% of California’s population has received their first dose of the vaccine while states have lifted most economic restrictions.

SacAnime Summer 2021 will be held at the newly renovated Sacramento Convention Center during the Labor Day weekend. Registration has opened for standard passes and VIP passes. More information about the events and guest will be announced in the future.

Update: On 7/6/2021, SacAnime updated their COVID-19 guidelines to not require a vaccine only to change it again the same day to requiring vaccines.
