Capcom has announced that they are planning to bring the Resident Evil remake, Zero and 4 to the Switch.
Capcom has confirmed that they are planning to bring several classic Resident Evil titles to the Nintendo Switch this Spring.
The HD versions of Resident Evil (remake), Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil 4 are gonna be available for the Nintendo Switch on May 21st. All three will be available as a digital download for now with no words regarding when a physical version will be available.
It should be noted that all three titles were first released on the Nintendo GameCube in the early 2000’s as part of an exclusive deal. When that deal ended, Resident Evil 4 was released on the PS2 followed by a series of re-releases on every major console. An HD version of Resident Evil along with Zero were latter released for all major consoles and the PC.
Gamers hoping for a Nintendo Switch port of Resident Evil 2 will be disappointed as Capcom has no such plans at the moment. This was first confirmed during E3 2018 and again recently by the games community manager on Twitter:
