With the launch date of Left Alive approaching, Square Enix has released the “Through the Warzone” trailer to showcase the gameplay.
“Through the Warzone” trailer features Leonid Osterman, Olga Kalinina and Mikhail Shuvalov as they try to survive the battlefield of war torn Novo Slava. The story of each character and the struggle they have to overcome is presented in a 14 minute video.
By showcasing the experience of each character, the trailer is able to demonstrate the many methods players could use to survive the games battlefield. Among the gameplay elements that were highlighted was the stealth mechanics, the combat system and operating the Wanzer (the mechs of the game.)
While the focus was on the gameplay, the desolated world of Novo Slava was on full display. The team has showcased their world building ability by creating war zone that offers no joy while any sense of hope has been lost.
Created by Toshifumi Nabeshima and Yoji Shinkawa, Left Alive is a spin-off to the Front Mission series and will follow three characters who are trying to survive the brutality of war. The game is set to be released for the PS4 and PC on March 5th 2019.
