Pokémon: The First Movie Returns to Theaters

In honor of the franchises 20th anniversary and a resent surge in its popularity, Pokémon: The First Movie will be returning to theaters for a limited time.

The re-release of Pokémon: The First Movie will feature both the main film, Mewtwo Strikes Back and the short film, Pikachu’s Vacation. Tickets are on sale now and the film will be shown at over 200 Cinemark theaters on Saturday, October 29, and on Tuesday, November 1.

There is no word if any special edition Pokémon cards will be handed out to attendees.

Pokémon: The First Movie was released in North America back in November 1999 and it was a hit among fans. The story follows Ash, Misty, and Brock as they try to stop Mewtwo from wiping out humanity.
