It has only been a weeks since its launch but Horizon Zero Dawn has been highly praised as one of the best titles of 2017 and now it has been highly praised by one of the most influential horror directors.
Known for several of the most iconic horror films like Halloween and The Thing, John Carpenter has also expressed his fascination with Horizon Zero Dawn. He stated in a tweet that was posted on March 7,

PlayStation along Guerrilla Game were quick to acknowledge the complement and thanked Carpenter on Twitter.
Carpenter is no stranger to the gaming world as many fans consider the video game follow up to The Thing as a true sequel. His cult film, Escape From New York is well known to have influence Hideo Kojima in creating the Metal Gear series.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an open world adventure that has players take on the role of Aloy as she tries to uncover the secrets of her world which has been overrun by machines. The game was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on February 28.
