If you’re a gamer who remembers the good ole days of the early 2000’s when MTV rocked and Tony Hawk was your hero then you may want to unbox your old PlayStation and get ready for Level Up Video Games special Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 High-Score Competition.
During the month of April, gamers are welcomed to put their skating skills to the test by trying to complete in any level to achieve the highest score. The challenge is open to anyone of all ages during business hours and there are no participation fees.
Players can try as many times as they wish but only one play through a day. The scores will be logged on a leaderboard which will also be posted on Facebook. The gamer with the best score will win a $50 gift card at the end of the month.
Updates and more information will be posted on Level Up website and Facebook page. If you feel that you were the king of this game then sign up and have a narly time (inner 2000’s just trying to be cool).
Level Up Video Games is an independent shop in Santa Cruz that sells new along with old games and accessories. They are also well known for the many special events and tournaments they host which attracts gamers from all over the Bay Area.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 was the second game in the series and was released for the PlayStation, N64, Dreamcast along with the PC. It has hailed as the best game in the series along with one of the best skateboarding titles.
I wonder if Level Up Video Games will allow participants to use Spiderman as their playable character?
Does it have to be PlayStation because back in the day I was the shit but only on the N64. Not fair to only support PlayStation and not N64 since we had GoldenEye and a lot of better other games too. All playstation had was MEtal Gear which was awesome but GoldenEye was better
Can’t belive the writer actually used “narly”
