FanimeCon 2020 may have been cancelled but many are working to keep the spirit alive in some way. It has been confirmed that “Cthulhu for President!”, one of the most popular panels, will be live streamed during the weekend.

Hosted by Andre Pena, “Cthulhu for President!” will be live streamed on May 23rd at 4pm. The panel will once again make the case for why the Dark Lord should be our next president. Fans are invited to watch the panel (via Twtich) and ask their own questions.

“Cthulhu for President!” is one of the most popular panels during FanimeCon and past versions of it are available on YouTube. Pena is also well known for hosting Bad Hentai and several major contests during the FanimeCon weekend. He also plans to host several other panels during the weekend via Twitch (Bad Hentai will not be one of them).

This is one of many digital events taking place during the weekend in the absence of FanimeCon. The CWF will be hosting a digital version Fanimania VII while BAR Con will host a digital event on Friday (BYOB). FanimeCon was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

FanimeCon is one of the largest fan organized anime conventions and the next one will take place on the Memorial Day weekend in 2021. Check out some of the amazing cosplayers form the 2019 event.
