What to Expect at the FanimeCon 2027 Open House

FanimeCon organizers will host an open house for the 2027 event on October 25th, 2026, from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Guildhouse in downtown San Jose.

FanimeCon 2027 Open House gives the community a chance to meet each department head and learn what is planned for the upcoming convention. Every division, from Operations and Communications to Fan Services and Games, will be on hand. Attendees can also explore individual departments and sign up to volunteer for a team based on their availability, skills, and the department’s needs.

Everyone is welcome to attend if they want to learn more about the con or if they want to volunteer. Check out this post for more details:

Those who cannot make it to the open house can sign up online to volunteer for FanimeCon 2027. It is unknown whether a second open house will be held in 2027, but that decision will depend on how this one goes. Fans can also catch the Fanime team at other conventions and events throughout the year.

FanimeCon 2027 Badge Prices and Registration

The announcement follows the opening of registration on Monday, October 12th, with weekend badges starting at $90. Attendees have until January 31st, 2027, to lock in that price before it rises to $100. On April 1st, weekend badges jump to $110. Single-day passes will only be sold at the con. Hotel reservations have not opened yet, but booking priority is based on the order of registration.

Plan carefully before buying, because FanimeCon badges cannot be rolled over to a future year or transferred to someone else. Refunds are available on pre-registration badges, but only to the person who paid with their credit card or the person the badge is registered to.

What We Know About FanimeCon 2027

Beyond the location and dates, little else about FanimeCon 2027 has been confirmed. Panel submissions, cosplay gathering proposals, FaniMaid Cafe tryouts, and other event sign-ups will open at a later date. Guest announcements will also be announced in the coming months.

FanimeCon 2027 takes place over Memorial Day weekend, May 28th to 31st, at the San Jose Convention Center and nearby downtown venues. It is one of the largest fan-organized anime conventions in North America, and the 2026 event drew 27,500 attendees.
