Big news for fans of vampire themed video games, Ziggurat Interactive has announced that they have acquires the rights to BloodRayne.

Anyone who owned a PlayStation 2 back in the day will remember this masterpiece. You play as Rayne (a half-human / half-vampire) who travels the world hunting other vampires and killing Nazi’s.

Oh and there was a movie adaptation, but it was crap (so don’t waste your time with it).

Ziggurat Interactive has purchased the rights of several previously owned by Majesco Entertainment (which was defunct in 2016). The biggest titles from this purchase is BloodRayne. Other titles acquired are Advent Rising, Raze’s Hell, and Flip’s Twisted World.

It has also been announced that Ziggurat Interactive has partnered with Terminal Reality (the original developers of BloodRayne). They are working to improve the PC version of the game. There are also plans to grow the series, but it’s unclear if a new entry or reboot is in the works.

Heads up to anyone who is interested, the PC version is currently available on Steam and GOG.
