After rumors and speculation over the weekend, Silicon Valley Comic Con has confirmed that Jason Momoa is committed to attending this weekends event.
Momoa has been in news recently for his work to bring awareness of the Native Hawaiian’s efforts to stop the construction of the Thirty-Meter Telescope on Mauna Kea (which is considered scared land). Because of his efforts to stand with the Hawaiian people, he has had to cancel several appearances at fan conventions.
This lead to rumors and speculations floating around that Momoa may also cancel his appearance at Silicon Valley Comic Con 2019. These rumors were swiftly put to rest with the following announcement:
Silicon Valley Comic Con 2019 will be from August 16 until the 18 the at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center along with the surrounding locations. Hosted by Steve Wozniak, the event brings together the world of science and pop-culture for a festive weekend.
