Unveiled via Twitter, Stranger Than Heaven has hit over 1 million wishlists across the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and the PC via Steam. The post thanked fans for making this milestone possible as the game is four months away from launch.
This was followed by a reminder that the game will be featured at PAX West this weekend. Gamers can try Stranger Than Heaven at Booth 609 and get a tote bag afterward.
A precursor to the Yakuza series, Stranger Than Heaven follows the life of Makoto Daito over the course of 50 years, from his arrival in Japan in 1915 up until 1965. The game takes the worldbuilding and gameplay that has defined the series and blends it with an emphasis on music. It is also notable for its stellar cast of Japanese and American performers, including Yu Shirota, Dean Fujioka, Snoop Dogg, and Ado.
Stranger Than Heaven launch on January 15, 2027 for the the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and the PC via Steam.
