A Chance for Bay Area Gamers to Play Cross Reflections

Pixelity Inc. has announced it will host its first public hands-on preview of Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections in San Francisco.

This hands-on preview will be hosted near Union Square in San Francisco on September 25th. The event will be open to the public but limited to 80 people. Those wanting to participate will have to sign up for a lottery before September 8th. Location of the event will only be revealed to participants of the preview.

The preview event will feature an early build of the “Story Mode” and “Battle Mode”. Players will also get to tour NERV HQ with a character from the series.

Cross Reflections

Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections is a virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) adaptation of the acclaimed series. Players will relive all 26 episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion through the perspective of an original character. Gameplay will emphasize story driven exploration across iconic locations, large scale battles between Evangelions and Angels, and interactive moments woven into a captivating narrative.

The game is set to launch sometime in 2027, but no exact date has been set.

Evangelion

Set 15 years after a cataclysmic event, Neon Genesis Evangelion follows Shinji Ikari, who is recruited by his estranged father to pilot an EVA in humanity’s desperate battle against beings known as Angels. The series has been widely praised for deconstructing the mecha genre while exploring complex religious symbolism and profound themes of individuality, freedom, and personal choice.

The original series aired from 1995 to 1996 and concluded with the film The End of Evangelion. It was later reimagined through the Rebuild of Evangelion saga, which began in 2007. Throughout 2026, the franchise will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
