War Commander: Rogue Assault is a mobile version of the free-to-play RTS game that ends up becoming nothing more then another Clash of  Clans knock-off. If you have played either of these titles then you know what to expect here and it’s not good.

War Commander is a free-to-play RTS game that has players build a base and raise an army in a post-apocalyptic world. It’s community acts like a total cult while most of the high leveled players either give into the microtransaction or hack the game. War Commander: Rogue Assault however is just your standard RTS that is do different from all the others.

Have you played any freemunim RTS games? If yes then skip to the next paragraph. This is a basic RTS game that requires players to build a base and raise an army. Like most mobile games, it has its fair use of freemuim content that will appeal to the lazy and casual player. The combat is simple as troops are deployed then they just attack the enemy based on the players command.

If you have played Star Wars: Commander or Clash of Clans then you have played War Commander: Rogue Assault. It has the same gamplay setup and the same player v. player feature. The only difference is that Rogue Assault has a mix of very cartoonish graphics and very grimy visuals.

Seriously, developers need to stop making these games and idiot players need to stop paying them for the freemuim gimmicks. Just pay the $5 at the App Store to get a real RTS game, Rome: Total War is available now and it’s good.

War Commander: Rogue Assault is that standard RTS game that makes dumb gamers feel smart. Please don’t waste your time unless you have never played such a game, in which case try it for 20 minutes then go play a real RTS game.
