Capcom has revealed that the HD re-release of Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 for the Eight Generation consoles have collectively shipped more than 1.5 million units worldwide.
Not many details or a break down of sales between titles or between retail and digital download was given but it was confirmed that the majority of the sales were in North America followed by Europe. All three titles are being sold for $19.99/€19.99 / £15.99 and were also recently on sale at the PlayStation Store.
The three games were released between March and August starting with Resident Evil 6 then Resident Evil 5 and followed by Resident Evil 4. The HD re-release included a visually enhanced version of the original game along with all DLC’s.
This announcement comes as the series celebrates its 20th Anniversary with a cross contry tour while preparing for the release of the next title. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will be the eleventh game in the iconic series and it’s set to be released on January 24th, 2017 for all major consoles and the PC.
