Update: Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions have cancelled their appearance at GDC due to concerns overs the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Game Developers Conference will bring together game professions for an insightful week. Now it has been confirmed that the most admired leader in the industry will be present. It has been announced that Hideo Kojima will be giving a presentation at GDC 2020.

Described as the most respected auteur in the industry, Hideo Kojima is video game developer and director. He is best known as the creator of the Metal Gear series which has redefined gaming with each new entry. He also worked alongside Guillermo del Toro on P.T. (the Silent Hills demo), which has been hailed as one of the best horror games. He also created Snatcher and Policenauts while also being the producer of the Zone of Enders series.

His most resent title was Death Stranding, which was highly praised and was on most critics “Best Game of 2019” list.

During GDC 2020, Kojima will be giving a 60 minute presentation on his philosophy regarding the development of Death Stranding. This will be a unique opportunity to learn about the challenges and triumphs of one of the game.

The Game Developers Conference is one of the largest gatherings of professionals from the gaming industry. The 2020 event will take place between March 16th until March 20th at the Moscone Convention Center and the surrounding areas.
