Silicon Valley Comic Con has just unveiled the first batch of special guests that will appear at the 2017 event and it includes several science-fiction icons and pioneers in space travel.

It has been confirmed that among the special guests will be famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin, physicist Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski, video game designer and private astronaut Richard Garriott, and beamed energy propulsion pioneer Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux. Returning from last years Comic Con will be Adam Savage from MythBusters.

Comic fans will be happy to know that Award-winning artist Arthur Adams and comics creator Joyce Chin will also be present at Silicon Valley Comic Con 2017. This is not the complete list of guest who will be present as more special guests are expected.

Also to honor the 30th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Silicon Valley Comic Con will host a special reunion hosted by William Shatner. Present during the reunion will be Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker), LeVar Burton (Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge), Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi), Brent Spiner (Data), Michael Dorn (Lieutenant Worf) and Gates McFadden (Dr. Crusher).

If additional cast members do join the panel, they will be announced at a later dates.

Silicon Valley Comic Con 2017 will be from April 21 until April 23 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center along with the surrounding locations. Tickets are now available for purchase.
