During Nintendo Direct of September 2026, Marvelous Inc. unveiled a new IP Eternal Anima, and confirmed it will launch in March 2027.

Eternal Anima is a new JRPG launching March 7, 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game brings together industry icons including director Katsuhisa Higuchi (Monster Hunter Stories 2), story concept writer Keisuke Makino (Persona 5), and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy VII). What to Expect

The game aims to evoke the spirit and experience of a JRPG from the late 90s and early 2000s. After questioning a key tenet of the Kingdom of Urvis Ael, Wade goes on the run from the authorities. What follows is a journey across different eras as he fights to uncover the truth, made possible when he unlocks Psychometry, a power that lets him decipher the memories dwelling within objects and places.

Players journey across continents and generations, teaming up with ancestors and descendants whose actions ripple through time. Combat blends classic turn-based systems with Future Sight, a tactical twist that lets players predict enemy moves, then delay or cancel them to dictate the flow of battle. Wade’s Psychometry unlocks memories inside ancient artifacts, letting him inherit the abilities and classes of heroes from the past. Mix and match to forge a playstyle all your own, crafted by genre legends and the next generation of RPG creators.

Pre-Order Now

Eternal Anima will be available for pre-order with the option of a standard edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and a Physical Limited Edition.  Physical Limited Edition includes the base game, a two-disc soundtrack, nine character art cards with a display stand and an art book. The Limited Edition will only be available for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
