Horror fans are going back to the horrors of Raccoon City as Capcom has announced Resident Evil Requiem.

Announced in a trailer presented at Summer Games Feast 2025, Resident Evil Requiem will be the ninth main entry in the iconic series. Not much has been revealed, but players might be going back to Raccoon City sometime after its destruction. Players will step into the role of FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil Outbreak.

While not confirmed, it has been rumored that other characters from the series are set to return. At the moment, not much is known about the story, the villains, or the overall setting. Additional details about the game will be unveiled in the coming months.

This announcement comes following years of rumors and speculation about the next Resident Evil game. Prior to the confirmation, many have speculated that the next game would be either an original entry or a remake of Code Veronica. The announcement of Requiem hasn’t killed those rumors as fans now suspect that the next entry after this one could be a remake.

Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch for all major consoles and the PC on February 27, 2026.
