With the ongoing pandemic and an uncertain future, the California Mermaid Convention announces their event plans for 2021.

It’s confirmed that the California Mermaid Convention will host an event during the weekend of July 9th to July 11th. With the state of the ongoing pandemic, the team is unsure what kind of an event it will be. If things get better then fans could expect a live event. If things remain the same then it will have to be an all digital event. There could also be the possibility of a hybrid of the two.

California Mermaid Convention will give more details about their plans for 2021 in the coming months. Fans are encouraged to subscribe to the mailing list or follow them on social media for updates.

As of January 2021, most conventions have been pushed back to either 2022 or 2023. Some are set to take place during the Spring and Summer Season. Many are also set to take place in late 2021. Be aware that any event set to take place in 2021 could be cancelled due to the state of the pandemic.

The California Mermaid Convention is an event organized by Mermaid and Mom along with Pixie Tribe Entertainment (with additional support from the community). It’s dedicated to celebrating and building the merfolk community through inclusive activities. They host a series of workshops along with festive events (featuring professional water performers and entertainers) while also promoting conservation goals such as river clean ups.
