BAR Con Announces Matsuri (Bonus Crunchyroll Expo Episode!)
BAR Con will be hosting a special event during the Crunchyroll Expo weekend.
BAR Con will be holding nothing back for their special event during the Crunchyroll Expo weekend as they have announced the details regarding Matsuri (Bonus Episode!).
BAR Con Matsuri (Bonus Episode!) is a special event on Sunday, September 2nd at the Back Bar SoFa. It should be noted that this will not effect BAR Con Season 2: Episode 9. The event will have anime screenings and video games while featuring performances by three bands along with a DJs.
The musical performance will begin with an open mic karaoke followed by a performance by Tiffany Fuji, Candy Bomber and Midnight Shinigami. Candy Bomber is a J-Rock band from the LA area known for their covers of iconic songs from video games and anime’s. Midnight Shinigami is an anime cover band also from the LA area.
BAR Con Matsuri (Bonus Episode!) will be one of many events to check out during the Crunchyroll Expo weekend. Fans could also checkout insightful panels, attend special events, or meet the many special guests who will be present.
At the moment the guest list includes Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii, Olympian and Yuri!!! on Ice fan Johnny Weir, writer Matthew Luhn, director Atsushi Nishigori, Head of Studio at Crunchyroll and the President of Women in Animation Marge Dean, animation director Atsuko Ishizuka, Clifford Chapin along with Luci Christian from My Hero Academia just to name a few. The event will be hosted by Victoria Holden and more guests will be announced in the weeks leading up to Crunchyroll Expo 2018.
BAR Con is a monthly event that combines ones love of anime, video games and J-Rock into a one night festivity. The tickets are on sale now and could be purchased online or at the door.
Crunchyroll Expo 2018 will take place during the weekend of September 1 until September 3rd (Labor Day Weekend) at the San Jose Convention Center. More information will be reported when its made available but you could read our coverage of Crunchyroll Expo 2017.
