A Breakdown of the Bug Fixes

SPRAWL zero Update: 02 is now available, fixing numerous bugs based on player feedback.

The second major update since the game’s September 8th launch, Update: 02 is now available for most versions of SPRAWL zero. It delivers several quality-of-life improvements while tackling numerous bugs across the campaign, weapons, and Relic system. The update is not available for the Nintendo Switch 2 version or the PC version purchased through the Epic Games Store, though developer MAETH says both are coming soon.

Here is the breakdown of the fixes made to SPRAWL zero with Update: 02.

Weapon & Equipment Balance

  • Throwables & Explosives: Fixed an issue where explosives taking damage while held would detonate upon reload after being dropped.
  • General Weapon Fixes: Fixed an issue where the Hitokiri would parry itself and other dropped weapons.

Campaign & Level Design

  • MAETH:
    • Reduced enemy density for select NG+ exclusive encounters.
    • Added additional New York Minute time extenders.
    • Fixed an issue where SIX would occasionally fail to spawn.
    • Fixed an edge case causing players carrying a turret to teleport incorrectly in NG+.
  • Eden:
    • Fixed an issue where the player could get stuck inside the first lift.
    • Fixed an issue in NG+ where Junta enemies would attack prematurely.
  • Adusta Terra:
    • Fixed an edge case where the exit subway gate would fail to open.
  • The Spire:
    • Added a flashlight trigger in a key dark area.
  • Domination:
    • Fixed an issue where Laeta’s dialogue could overlap.
  • The Graveyard:
    • Shogun now joins the street brawl encounter on NG+.
    • Fixed NPC cleanup issues when sequence breaking.
    • Moved a Relic Fragment to a nearby alternative location.
    • Polished scripting during the final arena encounter.
  • God’s Light:
    • Fixed an issue causing Tsuchigumo to not properly return to its resting state.
    • Fixed an issue where Laeta’s dialogue could overlap.
    • Fixed an edge case where the first quest was assigned too late.

Relics & Game Modes

  • Relic System & NG+:
    • Fixed an issue that could cause the final boss to not die while the One Shot Relic was enabled.
    • Fixed an issue where enemies would not die from Burn or Shock damage while the One Shot Relic was enabled.
    • Fixed an issue where the Spartan Golden Relic failed to properly disable sprint.
    • Addict Relic effect now correctly pauses during a key narrative scene in NG+.
    • Fixed an issue that caused relics to not properly activate upon defeating the final boss on NG+

SPRAWL zero launched on September 8th for all major consoles and the PC. It’s a cyberpunk first person shooter that combines the style of a 2000s game with modern innovation. A prequel to MAETH’s 2023 hit game SPRAWL, the story casts players as a new super soldier fighting on behalf of the Junta against a radical techno-religious group that opposes them.
