An iconic Japanese voice actor for over three decades, Ryōtarō Okiayu will be a guest at FanimeCon 2018.
Bay Area anime fans (especially those who prefer subs over dubs) will be excited to learn that it has been confirmed as iconic voice actor, Ryōtarō Okiayu, will be a guest at FanimeCon 2018.
Ryōtarō Okiayu has been a prominent voice actor in Japan for over three decades whose notable roles include Emil von Seclä in Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Treize Khushrenada in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and Helbram in The Seven Deadly Sins. His other notable works include his role as Tybalt Volumnia De Capulet in Romeo × Juliet, Andrew Waltfeld in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, and Vlad III in Fate/Apocrypha.
He will be joining J-Pop star nano, cosplaying duo Aicosu, voice actress Satomi Sato from Fairy Tale, Todd Haberkorn from Attack on Titan, and Caitlin Glass who is best known for her roles as Lilia in Yuri!!! on ICE. More guests will be revealed later on in 2017 but the list will start to build up in 2018.
Attendees will also be delighted to learn that several fan organized events have also been announced for the FanimeCon weekend. It has been announced there will be a My Hero Academia and a Love Live cosplay gathering along with a Naruto Run
FanimeCon 2018 will be from May 25 until May 28 at the San Jose Convention Center along with the surrounding locations. Tickets are now available for purchase and 8Bit/Digi will be there for the weekend.
