Capcom has released a minor update update for the Resident Evil remake, the first one since 2023.

It’s always great when developers continue to support their games long after its release. That is the case here as Capcom has released an update for Resident Evil, the first one since 2023.
A new update for Resident Evil became available on February 5th, 2025. According to the patch notes, the update fixes a few bugs but doesn’t detail what issues were resolved. No additional details were given about the update.
The last update the game received was an unnamed update back in August 2023. The bulk of the game’s updates took place after its launch in 2015.
Resident Evil is an enhanced remaster of the 2002 remake of the original game. Players take on the role of either S.T.A.R.S. officers Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine as they work to uncover the secrets of the Umbrella Corporation while trying to survive the horrors of the Spencer Mansion.
The original Resident Evil was released for the PlayStation back in 1996 and would define the horror survival genre. Its success was followed by Resident Evil 2 and 3. The last game in the series to be released was a remake of Resident Evil 4 in 2023.
