In a treat for horror fans, XSEED Games has announced that a remastered version of Corpse Party is coming this month.

Corpse Party an updated and expanded version of the iconic horror game that has players trying to escape Heavenly Host Elementary School. All five chapters will return along with bonus chapters and additional alternative endings. The game will launch on October 20th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.

As an added bonus for PC gamers, anyone who purchases the remastered version of Corpse Party will also get the original as part of a bundle. Those who already own the original on the PC (via Steam and GOG) will also receive the updated version.

Corpse Party is a horror series that follows a group of students who are trapped in a haunted school. The first game in the series was released in 1996 in Japan. American fans first got to play the game in 2006. Its success paved the path for several squeals, a manga series and an anime adaptation.
