Almost five years after its launch, Square Enix has announced that NieR: Automata is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch. For Nintendo gamers who are hack’n slash plus RPG fans, it’s about damn time.

Announced during Nintendo Direct (June 2022), NieR: Automata – The End of YoRHa Edition will include the base game plus the 3C3C1D119440927 DLC. Also included will be the 6C2P4A118680823 DLC, which is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version.

It’s set to launch for the Nintendo Switch on October 6th. The game will be available as either a digital download or a physical edition.

NieR: Automata follows 2B and 9S, two androids tasked with fighting off the machines and clearing the Earth for humanity’s return. However, not everything is what it appears as something much darker is happening behind the scenes. It’s the fifth game in the Drakengard / Nier series and it follows Nier Replicant fourth ending.

The original NieR: Automata was first released for the PlayStation 4 in 2017 followed by an Xbox One launch. It was later ported to the PC and the Xbox One.
