Crunchyroll has announced that Mobile Suit Gundam is now available to watch for the first time on a streaming platform. 8Bit/Digi

It is one of the most iconic works of pop-culture and now its available to stream for the first time. Crunchyroll has announced that Mobile Suit Gundam is now available to watch on their platforms.

Mobile Suit Gundam is one of the most iconic series but it has never been available on a streaming service* outside of Japan. It’s premier on Crunchyroll allows the series to be watched by fans in North America. All 42 episodes of both the dub and sub version of the series will be available. There are plans to premier the series in other regions sometime in the future.

Besides Mobile Suit Gundam, other entries and spin-off series are available on Crunchyroll. This includes main entries like Mobile Suit Gundam: Unicorn along with Advent of the Red Comet. Plus spin-offs like Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Gundam Wing. Overall; there are 10 different verities of the iconic series available to watch on Crunchyroll.

Mobile Suit Gundam is the main series of the franchise as it follows the events of the One Year War. The conflict pits the Principality of Zeon (and its allies) against the Earth Federation. The man story follows the journey of Amuro Ray during the war along with Char Aznable quest for revenge.

Gundam is a media franchise that follows an interstellar conflict involving mobile suits. The franchise includes the main series followed by numerous spin-offs along with video games and models (dubbed Gunpla).

Crunchyroll is the largest anime streaming service, having been credited for introducing the medium to a greater audience. It’s also very active in the fandom community with its support for anime conventions (major and local).
