Espire 2 Mixed Reality Mode turns the player’s personal environment into a battlefield. The mode will allow for missions based on one’s personal space in the real world. Missions will be optimized for all types of environments from small areas to multiple rooms.
Mixed Reality Mode will utilize the game’s sandbox as all of its 1:1 tracked game mechanics into a mixed reality experience. This will allow players to sneak and fight enemies in a real-world environment. Players could also interact or utilize virtual items placed in the real world.
This will be a free update available for the Quest 2, 3, and Pro version of the game. It’s set to become available sometime this year.
Espire is an espionage themed VR experience that could only be described as Metal Gear Solid in VR. Players are put into the role of a POE (the Primary Operator of Espire) who must pilot the Espire Model 1 Operative droid. They are deployed to carry out espionage actions while trying to save the world from terrorists.
