Grand Theft Auto V Continues to Have Strong Sales

It has been several years since its original release but Grand Theft Auto V not only continues to have a strong community but it also is still selling strong. This is especially true for the PC version according to data from Steam.

Valve unveiled its list of the 100 best selling games of 2016 and Grand Theft Auto V was among the top 12. It’s unclear how many units were sold in 2016 but it was only 0ne of four games in the top spot not released this year.

Grand Theft Auto V was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late 2013 followed by a Next-Gen release in 2014 and a PC release in 2015. The game has been highly praised by critics as one of the greatest games while also having become the fastest selling media title of all time.

The story follows Michael Townley, Trevor Philips and Franklin Clinton who are seeking the American Dream in a post-2008 crash society. However they are forced to act as pawns for a corrupt Federal Agent who uses them in his feud with the IAA (a parody of the CIA).
