It’s going to be a new year for gaming as 2017 promises to be push the boundaries. The Eight-Generation consoles have set their foundation while gaming has entered into the era of VR and Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to be released this year.

As 2017 begins, here are some of the most highly anticipated titles to look out for.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (January 2017)

This will be the eleventh game in the iconic series and it’s set to be released on January 24th, 2017 for all major consoles and the PC. The story will focus on Ethan as he searches for his missing wife at a derelict plantation.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole (Q1 2017)

Following the success of The Stick of Truth, this followup takes the classic JRPG formula and incorporates it into a superhero game set in the world of South Park. The heroes have  become divided over Cartman’s planned film franchise. It should be noted that since this is a Ubisoft title, you know they are going to announce a delay sometime soon.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Some time in 2017 )

The first original Zelda game for the Wii U has players once again taking on the role of Link on a quest to save Hyrule. After being in a slumber for 100 years, Link awakes and is tasked with finding a way to defeat Ganon before he is freed from his imprisonment.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands (March 2017 )

The first Ghost Recon game to be released following the death of Tom Clancy, Wildlands promises to take gamers to a new battlefield. This open-world adventure will have the Ghosts going up against a drug cartel in the jungles of Bolivia. It should be noted that since this is a Ubisoft title, you know they are going to announce a delay sometime soon.

We Happy Few (Sometime in 2017)

One of the most talked about indie titles of 2016 takes players to an alternative 1960’s following an invasion of the United Kingdom.When the player awakes from the fantsy world created by drugs, they must find a way to escape before the society collapses into anarchy. The game is currently available in Early Accesses.

Unnamed Call of Duty (November 2017)

It’s expected that a new Call of Duty will be released in 2017 but most gamers are wondering if this title will bring anything new to the franchise. Hopefully they make a Remastered version of Black Ops or Modern Warfare 2.

Star Wars: Battlefront II (Late 2017)

EA first Battlefront game could have been a masterpiece had it not been rushed wasn’t lacking in content. With a single-player game confirmed along with the success of Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 makes this title very promising.

Day of Infamy (Sometime in 2017)

Day of Infamy is an online World War II shooter that is set during the European Theater of the war. Players play as either American, British or Nazi forces to either liberate the map or hold it against the opposing forces. The game is currently available in Early Access.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (Fall 2017)

It should go without saying that this will be the most highly anticipated title of 2017. Not much is known but Red Dead Redemption was a masterpiece while Rockstar can do no wrong. Every other game coming out in 2017 is going to be pointless compared to Red Dead Redemption 2. Even the great Hideo Kojima has refereed to it as the one game he is excited for in 2017.

  1. Wow what a dumb list you forgot so many games and nobody gives a fuck about call of duty. why don’t you do some real research instead of googling 2017 games and copying the first results. Seriously no Horizon Zero Dawn, Kingdom Hearts or Mass Effect? Do you guys even game bro!
