Known for dominating anime conventions with their insights into fandom and culture, The Foundation for the Eradication of Gen 5 Pokémon will be guests at Kin-Yoobi Con 2026.

Foundation for the Eradication of Gen 5 Pokémon is a comedy panel troupe that takes jabs at the anime fandom and culture. A staple of the Bay Area convention scene, they are most active at FanimeCon, MAGWest, and YumeCon USA. Among their most iconic and popular panels are Waluigi Time, InfoWario, Fifth Gen Isn’t Pokémon, and Sonic: An Unfortunate History. They are also notable for hosting the Twitch series Anime Survivor.

Planning for Kin-Yoobi Con 2026

Because it will not be a real anime con in Northern California without The Foundation for the Eradication of Gen 5 Pokémon dominating the panels or Waluigi wandering the dealer hall.

They will be joining professional cosplayer and author of the book The Fangirl Diaries, Erica Victoria Espejo, and professional cosplayer LauraC. Additional guests will be announced in the coming weeks and months along with information about what is planned. Tickets for Kin-Yoobi Con 2026 are on sale now for $25, but the price will increase in the future.

Kin-Yoobi Con 2026 is a hybrid anime convention that brings community leaders and fans for a weekend of fun. It will feature an all-digital event along with an in-person event. The virtual aspects of the event will take place on September 18th via Twitch. The live event will take place at the S.D.E.S. Portuguese Hall in Union City on September 20th.
