Silicon Valley Comic Con has just unveiled the first batch of special guests that will appear at the 2018 event and it includes several geek icons and returning guests. Among the confirmed guests are Stan Lee, Sean Astin, Matthew Lewis, Jewel Staite, Jim Shooter, and Andy Weir.

Stan Lee was the Editor of Marvel who he co-created comic icons like Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Daredevil, and Thor just to name a few. He is also help Steve Wozniak organize the first Silicon Valley Comic Con in 2016.

Sean Astin is an actor best known for his role as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Mikey Walsh in The Goonies. He recently starred as Bob Newby in the second season of Stranger Things.

Matthew Lewis is an actor best known for his role as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films and video games.

Jewel Staite is an actress best known for her role as Kaylee Frye in Firefly and its cinematic conclusion, Serenity. Her other major roles include Dr. Jennifer Keller on Stargate Atlantis and Caroline Swift on The Killing.

Jim Shooter is a leader in the comic industry having first started out at DC before at the age of 13. He was the former Editor of Marvel and is now the current Editor of Valiant Comics.

Andy Weir is the acclaimed author of The Martian,which was adapted into a hit film back in 2015. He has been a regular guest at Silicon Valley Comic Con since the first event back in 2016.

Silicon Valley Comic Con 2018 will be from April 6 until April 8 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center along with the surrounding locations. More guests will be unveiled in the months leading up to the event.
