Horror gamers are going to receive a special treat this Halloween as Koie Tecmo has announced the release date for the Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water remaster. The set release date is for all versions of the highly anticipated horror game.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black remaster will be available for all current consoles and the PC on October 28th. This means the PlayStation 5, 4, Xbox One, Series X, PC and Nintendo Switch along with the PC (via Steam). More details about the game are explained in the following trailer:
A special Digital Deluxe Edition of the game has also been confirmed. It includes the base game along with a digital artbook, and six costumes inspired by characters from the series. Those who pre-order or purchase the game in the first two weeks will also receive a Ryza costume from Atelier Ryza.
The Fatal Frame series is a supernatural horror survival that has players try to escape a haunted location using the Camera Obscura (a camera built to pacify ghosts). Fatal Frame was released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2001. Maiden of Black was the last game in the series and it was originally released for the Nintendo Wii back in 2015.
