Following the example of so many events, it has been announced that Crunchyroll Expo 2020 will be a digital event.
Virtual Crunchyroll Expo will be a digital event that is set to take place from September 4th to September 6th. The event will feature panels and guest speakers along with interactive events and special screenings. Details about the guest list and panels will be made available in the coming months.
Crunchyroll has also setup a process for those who bought a ticket for the 2020 event. Anyone who wants a refund will have to fill out a form. Those who want their pass rolled over to the 2021 event won’t have to do anything.
They will be joining GDC and Anime Expo, which have chosen to go all digital for their 2020 event. Other summer events have been pushed back to a later date or deferred to 2021. Those that have not been cancelled are committed to their scheduled. It should be noted that dates and status may change given what will happen during the pandemic.
