OffKai Expo Gen 5 was a big weekend for cosplayers, not just those in the VTuber community, but also for gamers and anime fans as well. Many had already put their project to the test at major events and now it was time to showcase it once more. Others have worked to improve their cosplay project to showcase updates to their established works.
Regardless of fandom or level of skill, their contributions are why OffKai Expo has a strong cosplay scenes.

Many have worked for months to create the ideal cosplay based on their favorite VTuber. Others have taken the lessons learned from Fanime or Anime Impulse Bay Area to fine tune their project. During the weekend, there were cosplayers who are dedicated to bringing their favorite character or VTuber to life. Others will add their own personal style or a special twist. Some cosplayers will go the extra mile to bring a joke or meme to life. Regardless, they all add to the memorable cosplay scene at OffKai Expo Gen 5.

Cosplaying and cosplay gatherings were among the many highlights of OffKai Expo Gen 5. While there is a plethora of fun during the weekend, cosplaying will always be one of the hallmarks of the overall experience.
OffKai Expo Gen 5 took over the San Jose Convention Center from July 24th to 26th, 2026. Whether you want to meet your favorite VTubers or connect with fellow fans, this is the Bay Area’s biggest weekend for the VTuber community. The event hosted a number of musical events, meet and greets with your favorite stars, and a number of other special events.
