XSEED has announced that Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion is coming to North America and Europe in the Fall 2024.

Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion follows three friends as they explore the Amare Est Vivere Hospital, testing a local urban legend. Unfortunately, the legend is true and they trigger a curse that sends them into a dark realm. Together they must avoid a vengeful spirit and other horrors as they search for a way to dispel the curse.

The game will launch for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. To have an idea about the game, check out the announcement trailer: 

The game will be available for pre-order with the option between a limited edition and a standard edition. Dubbed the Ayame’s Mercy Edition; it will include the base game along with an LED blue candle, a 64-page art book, Ayame’s Mercy art cards, an “evidence kit”, and a metal outer case.

Corpse Party is a horror series that follows a group of students who are trapped in a haunted school. The first game in the series was released in 1996 in Japan. American fans first got to play the game in 2006. Its success paved the path for several squeals, a manga series, and an anime adaptation.
