This Saturday will be Free Comic Book Day, a national day dedicated to promoting independent comic book stores across America while also introducing new readers to the world of comics.
To get everyone prepared for Free Comic Book Day, here is a quick guide for all the Bay Area comic book stores that will be honoring the holiday. They are as followed and are not ranked in any order:

If you’re in the South San Jose area then you could either stop by Heroes in Downtown Campbell or SpaceCat Comics and Cards which is 10min away from Downtown San Jose.
Don’t worry East San Jose friends, the guys at Black Cat Comics and Chris’s Comic got you covered.
For our friends in the East Bay, check out Cape & Cowl in Oakland.
No Free Comic Book Day is ever complete without a stop to where it all began, Flying Colors Comics in Concord. This holiday was the brain child of owner Joe Field, who proposed the idea in the August 2001 issue of Comics & Games Retailer magazine. SO basically one could say Free Comic Book Day is a Bay Area holiday at heart.
Saturday May 6! The coolest characters meet at Flying Colors, especially on @Freecomicbook Day! Join us, please!#FCBD2017 #comics pic.twitter.com/K0ujpZESbD
