It was a good weekend for Star Wars fans as the first trailer for The Last Jedi was reviled along with details about Battlefront II. While EA’s first forte into the series may have felt like an experiment, this game promises to deliver a full experience that is just like the original games.
Star Wars Battlefront II is set to be released on November 17 for all major consoles and the PC. DICE, Motive and Criterion have teamed up to bring both a single-player camping along with a multiplayer experience.
The single-player camping will bridge the gap between the events after Return of the Jedi but before the events of The Force Awakens. The story will follow Iden Versio who vows to avenge Emperor Palpatine after she witness the destruction of the Death Star II during the Battle of Endor. Not much about the plot has been revealed but players will experience the rise of the First Order.
The multiplayer game will feature maps and classes that have been inspired by all three generations of Star Wars. It has been confirmed that there are levels based on A New Hope, Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace and The Force Awakens. As with its predecessor, players can play as heroes such as Darth Maul and Rey.
Electronic Arts is expected to unveil more details about Star Wars Battlefront II will be unveiled at E3 and EA PLAY 2017.
