During Anime Expo 2024, NIS America announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II will launch in North America in 2025. This announcement coincided with the launch of Trails through Daybreak the very same day.
Trails through Daybreak II is a sequel that once again has players taking on the role of Van Arkide. When members of the Central Intelligence Division are found murdered in the capital, Van is tasked with finding the culprit before more people are killed. However, something more sinister is at work in the background.

Additional information will be announce in the coming months. The game will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles, and PC in 2025. PC gamers will be able to enjoy it through Steam, Epic, or GOG.
This will be the second game in the Daybreak arc of The Legend of Heroes series. The arc is set in the Calvard Republic following the events of Trails into Reverie. The story follows Van Arkide, a spriggan—a bounty hunter and private detective—tasked with solving a series of cases.
Trails through Daybreak is the first entry in the Daybreak arc and saw a global release on July 5, 2024. Check out our review of the PC version of the game to learn more.
Anime Expo is the largest anime convention in North America and one of the biggest events in the industry. Organized by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), the event brings major industry leaders and fans together for an eventful weekend. The 2024 event will take place from July 4 to July 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
