During Anime Expo 2024, Bandai Namco announces that BLEACH Rebirth of Souls is in the works and it will launch for consoles along with the PC.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls will launch for the PlayStation and Xbox consoles sometime in late 2024 / early 2025. This will be the first console video game adaption of the series since Bleach: Soul Resurrección, which was released back in 2011.

Rebirth of Souls is a fighting game that allows players to take on the role of their favorite characters and battle it out. The game will feature both online and local multiplayer for two players. It will also include an original story by series creator, Tite Kubo.

Bleach is one of the best-selling mangas of all time while also having a profound impact on other shonens. It follows Ichigo Kurosaki who obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper and takes on the responsibilities of defending humanity from evil spirits. The manga ran from 2001 to 2016 while the anime series first ran from 2004 to 2012. The anime adaptation of Thousand-Year Blood War premiered in 2022 and it’s still ongoing.

Anime Expo is the largest anime convention in North America and one of the biggest events in the industry. Organized by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), the event brings major leaders of the industry while inviting the fandom for an eventful weekend. The 2024 event will take place from July 4th to July 7th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
