Following a teaser early this week, ATLUS has unveiled Persona5: The Phantom X and that it will launch in June 2025.

Persona 5: The Phantom X launches June 26 for PC and mobile devices. A spin-off of the acclaimed JRPG, players assume the role of a student living a double life as a Phantom Thief. By day, they attend school, develop personal skills, and enjoy various activities around the city. By night, they infiltrate cognitive dungeons to steal Treasures and reform the twisted desires of corrupt adults.

Among the key features of the game will be the familiar gameplay mechanics with some minor alterations. There will be engaging stories with new characters, along with the return of fan favorites like Joker.

To celebrate its launch, Anime Expo will also be hosting a special panel on July 5th. The panel will feature an inside look into the game while treating the audience to exclusive freebies and a special live performance by Lyn Inaizumi, featuring original songs from Persona 5. The panel will take place from 10:30 AM – 11:20 AM in Petree Hall.

The original Persona 5 launched for PlayStation 4 in 2016, followed by Persona 5 Royal in 2019. Royal later released for all major consoles and PC in 2022. Another spin-off, Persona 5 Tactica, debuted on November 17, 2023, for all major platforms. To learn more about the original game, be sure to check out our review of the PC version.
