If you were on the fence about checking out Anime Expo 2023, you’re now out of luck. Event organizers have announced that badges of all tiers for Anime Expo 2023 have sold out. 

Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) has officially confirmed that all badges for Anime Expo 2023 have sold out. This includes the 4-Day, VIP pass along with the single-day passes. The announcement comes only a week before the event is set to start, which attracts over 100,000 people.

This announcement is only in regard to passes officially sold by Anime Expo. Passes can also be purchased on the second-hand market. However, be warned that fraud is a common problem with these third-party sellers. The SPJA is not responsible for damages incurred from these unofficial transactions.

This is not the first time badges for Anime Expo have been sold out. Back in 2022, all badges were sold out a few days before the event was set to start. In 2019, the 4-Day passes sold out while single-day passes were still available.

Anime Expo is the largest anime convention in North America and one of the biggest ones in the industry. Organized by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), the event brings major leaders of the industry while inviting the fandom for a weekend of fun. 

The 2023 event will take place from July 1st to July 4th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
