Heads up Pokémon trainers, Niantic has announced that Alolan Forms are coming to Pokémon Go this summer.

Just to avoid any confusion, Alolan Forms is referring to a unique version of Gen 1 Pokémon that are found in the Alola region. Hence, the new update will not include any of the original Gen 7 Pokémon that first appeared in Sun and Moon.

The new Pokémon will be made available sometime in the next few weeks. At the moment, no information has been provided on to evolve the Gen 1 Pokemon players already have to a Alolan Form.
