In a special treat for fans of old school anime, it has been announced that Yuriko Yamaguchi will be a guest at FanimeCon 2020.

Yuriko Yamaguchi is an industry icon who is best known for her role as Ritsuko Akagi in Neon Genesis Evangelion and the Rebuild of Evangelion films. Her other iconic roles include Nurse Joy in the Pokemon series from 1999 to 2006. She is also best known for her role as Nico Robin and Nico Olvia in One Piece.

She will be joining Erika Harlacher from The Seven Deadly Sins and anime historian Gilles Poitras. More special and musical guests will be announced in the coming months.

FanimeCon 2020 is one of the largest fan organized anime conventions and will take place on the Memorial Day weekend. To have an idea of what to expect, check out my coverage from last year.

If you can’t make it to FanimeCon 2020 then check out the many conventions that are set to take place in the Bay Area and surrounding region. We will work to provide updates and announcements when they become available.
