Anime fans in the Palo Alto area will be excited to know that YumeConUSA will return in 2022. Like so many conventions, the 2020 event was cancelled due to the pandemic while organizers took a wait and see approach for 2021.

YumeConUSA 2022 will take place on October 29th at the Palo Alto Event Center. This will be the first event that will not take place at the Foothill Community College campus. The announcement was made in the following post from YumeConUSA Facebook page:

At the time of writing; no guests, panels or special events and gatherings have been announced. Tickets and vendor spots have not yet gone on sale. More information and announcements will be made in the months leading up to the event.

This is just one of several conventions in the that will host a live event in 2022, but that could change should there be a spike in cases. As of November 23rd, 78% of California’s population has received their first dose of the vaccine while the state has lifted all economic restrictions.

YumeConUSA is a one day anime convention that brings to community together. It previously was organized and hosted by the Foothill Anime Club but now has grown to become independent.
