If the new promotional art for Call of Duty: Black Ops III new DLC looks familiar, that is because the artist behind it was none other than Yoji Shinkawa.

Hideo Kojima is not the only former icon from Konami who has been busy following a mass exodus following the completion of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Yoji Shinkawa also joined Kojima Productions to work on Death Stranding, but it looks like he has been working on a few side projects with Acitivsion.

During a live stream to promote Zombies Chronicles DLC, the new promotional art was revealed and confirmed that it was Shinkawa. The art work features the games four main characters while the design has many of his signature traits while also paying homage to his work on  Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

Even though the live stream only featured the art work for the PS4, it has been confirmed that they will also be available for download on the Xbox One. It’s also unknown if this is a one time partnership or will Shinkawa also be involved with the development of Call of Duty: WWII or Treyarch’s game (which is set for a 2018 release).

Zombies Chronicles DLC is an upcoming DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops III that is set to be released on May 16th. Yoji Shinkawa is an artist who is best known for designing the levels along with the characters of the Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders series.
