With the Holiday Season in full swing, Viz Media has announced a list of major releases for the month of December 2024. This includes new manga series along with the return of beloved stories. Spin-offs and tie-ins to your favorite works are also included.  

All works can be purchased through Viz Media or authorized vendors. Here is a breakdown of all the major releases from Viz Media during December 2024.

Series Debut

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Shining Diamond’s Demonic Heartbreak, Vol. 1 – Hol Horse is entrusted with finding a missing parrot and takes Boingo to Morioh. In the unfamiliar town, he is haunted by a sudden vision of Dio and nearly struck by a car. He is saved from danger by another Stand user – Josuke Higashikata.

Rainbows After Storms, Vol. 1 – For best friends turned lovers, situations for Nanoha and Chidori turn into electrifying moments. Between sharing furtive looks and promise bracelets, the pair spend their hectic school days flirting in secret and hiding their relationship.

Do Retry, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 – When he refuses to stay down during a beating, Aozora gets recruited by a yakuza affiliated underground boxing league. He soon finds himself in the ring with no training but a powerful secret weapon—his tenacity! But will it be enough to overcome his opponents’ training and devastating techniques?

Ginka & Glüna, Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3 – Growing up alone in the snowy mountains, Glüna yearns for the day she can have adventures. Her wish soon becomes a reality when she meets a snowman named Ginka.

Series Conclusion

Mashle: Magic and Muscles, Vol. 18 – Innocent Zero has exceeded the limits of human existence and becomes a god. Humanity has no choice but to bow down before his divinity. Except for Mash, who has unlocked an unimaginable power that challenges Innocent Zero.

Neighborhood Story, Vol. 4 – After winning the Grand Prix award, Mikako and Risa are offered the chance to study abroad in London for a year. As the initial thrill wanes, Mikako’s apprehensions grow, especially with the potential strain that leaving might put on her relationship with Tsutomu.

Video Game Tie-Ins

Pokémon: Sword & Shield, Vol. 11 – Henry and Casey continue to search for the lost Rusted Sword and Rusted Shield. As Henry trains the Kubfu, the Pokémon from the Isle of Armor, a new danger presents itself.

Splatoon 3: Splatlands, Vol. 3 – The Splatlands’ Great Eight arc comes to a close with the battle of a lifetime.

Anime Tie-Ins

Blue Box, Vol. 13 – Taiki is preparing to celebrate his 16th birthday with his family when an emergency leaves him alone with Chinatsu.

Blue Exorcist, Vol. 30 – Although the ritual to seal Satan was completed, the demon lord transformed in order to survive. Now, he is part of the earth itself, with his heart protected in the center of a vast fortress. The Exorcists and Exwires regroup and ready themselves for a renewed assault on Satan’s stronghold.

Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 22 – Piccolo sneaks into the Red Ribbon Army’s secret base to learn of their plan to conquer the world. This time, they have built Cell Max, a destructive version of the original Cell.

Call of the Night, Vol. 18 – After Ko destroys her entire building, Nazuna must find a new home fit for a vampire.

Black Lagoon, Vol. 13 – The Five Fingers have shaken things up in Roanapur, and the major players in the city have had enough. After being captured by the Black Lagoon crew, Le Majeur decides she wants out and agrees to lead the Five Fingers into an ambush.

Dandadan, Vol. 10 – To avoid being late for school on Vamola’s first day, Momo takes her on a shortcut through some off-limits ruins. But the protection spell they perform doesn’t work, and they runs into a slit-mouthed woman.

Insomniacs After School, Vol. 8 – Magari opens up about living with a congenital heart defect and shares her fears about her condition. Nakami pledges to fulfill Magari’s dream of traveling. In the meantime, he supports her current goals of fixing the observatory.

Ultraman, Vol. 20 – Nackle’s plan to undermine humanity’s faith in the Ultras is thwarted. This may be short-lived as tensions between Earthians and aliens continue to rise.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, Vol. 16 – The gang hits the road again in Kyushu. Their adventure comes to an abrupt stop, however, when they run out of gas in the mountains. When an argument breaks out among the group, Takemina and Izuna realize it’s up to them to save the day

Fist of the North Star, Vol. 15 – Among the three Rasho, the generals who rule the land of the Asuras, only Hyo hangs on to a shred of his humanity. Deceived into believing that Kenshiro is responsible for the death of his sister, Hyo enters the demon realm to confront him.

New Releases

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu Academy, Vol. 4 – It might be winter, but things at Kimetsu Academy show no signs of cooling. If Giyu wants to enjoy some freshly baked bread, he’s going to have to set foot inside the Kamado Bakery.

Let’s Do It Already!, Vol. 3 – Yuri’s attempts at having a romantic relationship with Keiichiro are thwarted on a daily basis. Now they’re on their first overnight school trip together in the mountains, allowing for some time together.

Rainbow Days, Vol. 13 – Natsuki must tell Anna how he feels about her before the school festival is over.

The King’s Beast, Vol. 14 – Prince Tenyou’s reforms have been well received by the Ajin. However, the rulers of the neighboring kingdoms are anything but pleased. Now war could be on the horizon.

Akane-banashi, Vol. 9 – Akane is finally able to show off her father’s rakugo to the world. In doing so, she discovers there was something lacking. This means there’s a chance for his style and for herself to grow.

I Wanna Do Bad Things with You, Vol. 3 – Fuji returns to school with a new prank in mind: outperforming Koichi on an upcoming test.

Fool Night, Vol. 3 – Kamiya is trys to make the most of the time he has left before completing his spiriflor transformation. But when his childhood friend becomes the latest victim of a mysterious spiriflor, he finds himself drawn into the hunt for this deadly creature.

Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., Vol. 5 – Kana isn’t the only employee at Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. who can wow an audience. The magic engineers have developed ALICE – a new magic system that is could revolutionize the industry. First they need to prove the system can handle anything.

Novels and Artbooks

Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Official Art Book – A collection of artwork from the mobile game inspired by classic Disney Villains that have been reimagined by renowned manga artist Yana Toboso. It features character art, sketches, and handwritten notes that provides fans with a behind-the-scenes look.

Kaiju No. 8: Exclusive on the Third Division – An expose that follows the lives of the members of the Third Division.

Studio Ghibli: Architecture in Animation – A look at how the visionary animation studio brings its worlds to life through hundreds of pieces of concept art, sketches, and background paintings. It shows the architectural inspirations of Studio Ghibli’s animated classics.
