IO Interactive has ended its collaboration with Conor McGregor in Hitman: World of Assassination following the ruling in a sexual assault civil case.

Conor McGregor was found liable for sexual assault in a civil case and ordered to pay €250,000 (approximately $257,000). McGregor maintains that the encounter was consensual and has announced plans to appeal the decision. In response to the ruling, several companies have ended their partnership with the MMA fighter.

One of those companies is IO Interactive, which has ended its collaboration with McGregor in Hitman: World of Assassination. This means that “The Disruptor” is no longer available as an Elusive Target. The Disruptor DLC has also been removed from all digital storefronts. Players who participated in the mission or purchased the DLC will not be affected by the announcement.

The announcement was made in the following post:

The Disruptor has Mr. 47 assigned to eliminate an MMA fighter modeled after and played by McGregor. The Elusive Target became available on November 15th and would have ended on December 8th. The Disruptor DLC would give players permanent access to the mission along with a new outfit, items, and a set of cosmetics for the freelancer house.

Hitman: World of Assassination is the entire reboot trilogy put into one game. The series is a stealth action experience that has players take on the role of Mr. 47. The game gives players the task of assassinating a target using whatever methods they prefer while stealth and strategy are highly encouraged.
