Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare have been nominated for a Writers Guild Award.
2016 may have had many titles with an outstanding story but it was Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that stood out among the Writers Guild of America, West. Both of these titles are among the few that have been nominated for the 2017 Writers Guild Award.
Both games have been nominated for Outstanding Achievement In Video Game Writing. For Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare the nominee is writer Brian Bloom while for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End the nominee is going to Neil Druckmann, Josh Scherr along with Tom Bissell, and Ryan James. The other games that have been nominated are Far Cry Primal and MR. ROBOT 1.51exfiltratiOn.
The winners will be announced at a special ceremony on February 19, 2017. The event will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and it will be hosted by Patton Oswald.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare follows a cosmic war between Earth against the Settlement Defense Front following a surprise attack on Geneva. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End follows Nathan Drake returning to the world of fortune hunting after he reunites with his older brother to locate Captain Henry Avery’s lost treasure.
